Research Interests:
As a lab manager my goal is to manage all resources judiciously without any compromise with quality safety and compliance. I thrive to support and create a research environment where a creative team can perform at their best with minimum frustrations.
I always feel excited about learning and incorporating new technologies in research and have a long standing interest in translational research. With a vast experience in genetic engineering and protein manipulation I have generated technologies for pharmaceutical proteins, some of which are in market and others in Phase 2 and 3 of clinical trials. I also generated knock out mouse models using CRISPR based gene editing. These models are being used to study cardiovascular diseases and islet functions in diabetes. I also enjoy my status of in-house molecular biologist in Christ- lab and lab-mom of almost a dozen!
